Bestiarium - Living Dungeon

Race:

Living Dungeon

Characteristics:

- A new dungeon can come into being through various ways. It could be a creation of the gods, a magical summoning, a lost soul captured by an empty dungeon core, a "child" of another dungeon, or other various reasons.
- A dungeon is considered "living" if it has an intelligence of its own.
- The "soul" of a living dungeon is present in a -so called - dungeon core. If it gets destroyed, the consciousness of the dungeon is lost, and it becomes a regular dungeon. If the dungeon runs out of mana, it can go into hibernation, until it accumulates mana again.
- A dungeon can grow in size and abilities if it absorbs mana. This is mostly done by absorbing the live force of creatures, that dyed inside the dungeon. But there are other possibilities too.
- A living dungeon has influence over the creatures that live inside it to a certain degree.
- It also can spawn all kinds of items, depending on its rank. The higher the rank, the more variety of Items, Traps, furniture, equipment and even magic artifacts.
- The rank of a dungeon rises as higher rank levels get unlocked by meting specific requirements.
- Adventurers often try to clear a dungeon for its loot, to get respect, or to get rid of a danger source.

Religion:

The dungeon core has usually a mind of its own, and can freely decide what it wants to believe in. There are reported cases, where they are the ones worshiped.

Skills:

The kind of skills a dungeon possesses are almost entirely used to build and menage the dungeon. More skills become available, as it spends its resources to uncover them. It has few means of hands-on protection
